Current psychological theory presented in an accessible way, applied in a friendly and supportive coaching environment
This course is designed to be as accessible as possible with 5 minute ‘mini-lectures’ on that week’s topic that you can listen to whenever, wherever
Each week follows a similar pattern;
Information; Psychological research and theory in an easy to listen to format
Application; support and guidance applying Psych theory specifically to your needs and your life during the coaching session
Reflection; what have you learned and how can this be improved
Step One
Before you start the course, we will chat over the phone or Skype to;
- Discuss your expectations of the course
- Discuss your previous exercise experience and any injuries I need to be aware of for the Exercise Plan
- Make sure the course is right for you
- Get to know each other a little!
Step Two
The course kicks off with the delivery to you of the personalised exercise plan to help improve our connections with our bodies
This weeks’ education soundbites will focus on;
- How self-confidence can be helped and hindered by our behaviours and the world around us
- What self-talk is,and how we can use it to build confidence in ourselves
This weeks’ 30 minute coaching session will;
- Apply what we have learned about self-confidence and self-talk to your life
- Check in on how the exercise plan suits you
- Address any questions you have had about this week's materials
Step Three
This weeks’ education soundbites will focus on the concept of self-efficacy and discuss
- Introduce topic of self-efficacy and how it can be improved
- Where is our self-efficacy low and what does that tell us?
- How we can challenge negative self-talk and increase the positive
This weeks’ coaching session will;
- Discuss where improving your self-efficacy might work, e.g. work, a hobby or a social setting
- Collaboratively create a plan on how to do this
- Address any questions you have had about this week's materials
Step Four
At this stage, will we have a halfway check in on how you are getting on with Personalised Exercise Plan.
This weeks’ education soundbites will look at social and self-comparison and how social media can help or hinder this;
- How self-comparison can impact us
- How we can limit its effect
- How we can use social media to increase our confidence
This weeks’ coaching session will see us;
- Work out strategies to limit how much self-comparsion takes place in your life
- Apply self-affirmation tasks to your daily or weekly schedule
- Address any questions you have had about this week's materials
Step Five
This weeks’ education soundbites will look at;
- How self-care can help our self-confidence
- How self-care behaviours can become confidence building activities
- How posture can impact our self-confidence
This weeks’ coaching session will see us;
- Discuss what forms of self-care may work best for you
- Create a self-care plan
- Discuss any postural concerns you may have and talk about how we can change this
- Address any questions you have had about this week's materials
Step Six
The end of the course!
To finish, we will have a 30 minute coaching session to discuss;
- What you have learned from the course
- What you will take away from the course
- How you can support your increased confidence
- A plan for your progress for the next 2 months
